Dr. Shapiro had a great time working with this large group at Crossfit Amherst on proper bracing techniques, mobility, and squat form. This great event was done as a fundraiser in support of Amherst's own Shane Stadtmueller for his hard earned trip to the 2015 Granite Games!

Dr. Shapiro had the pleasure of working with some great athletes at Crossfit Harborside teaching how to fix the squat and properly brace to better avoid injury.
Had a blast teaching a Squat Clinic to a great group of athletes at Harborside Crossfit in downtown Buffalo over the weekend. The great coaching they have received prior to this clinic made it very easy and a lot of fun to work with them. Make sure to follow the OPC Buffalo facebook page for upcoming Clinics and lectures that can help make you a better and safer athlete!
We had a great time doing soft tissue work on the competitors at CFA's summer internal competition. The workouts were brutal but the competition, teamwork, family atmosphere, and costumes were top notch.
Thank you to Crossfit Amherst for having Dr. Shapiro out to meet more of their great clientele and assess some of the functional issues that may be resulting in injuries. It was a busy evening, but with a very fun and talented group of athletes which made the time fly by.

Dr. Shapiro got to work with a great group of trainers at the Amherst JCC on improving the squat form to enhance performance and gains as well as keep clients injury free!
Thank you so much to Crossfit Harborside for an awesome day! Dr. Shapiro joined in for the Memorial Day "Murph" workout with this fantastic group and then provided soft tissue work afterwards to those who needed it. This is a high energy gym with great coaches and it shows with how much fun the members are having during their workouts!
